Able Writers' Day - 28 November
Year 5 children joined children from St Ignatius, Grovelands and Thames Ditton Primary School at a special workshop. They ended their day by making the following joint news report.
Year 6 Maths Workshop - 30 January
Today we did a Maths workshop with three other schools. First, we put squares and triangles on a piece of paper to match the picture behind a puzzle. Next, we were finding areas with cubes. After that we had jigsaw pieces and were allowed to make whatever we wanted. Together, we made the best triangle pattern on the floor. This was our favourite. Then we had biscuits and orange squash!
We then learned about the magic square. We found out that every way was the same except flipped over. After lunch we made cube nets. Finally we made triangle nets starting with 4 and going to 10. We named them and stuck different nets on the board. Mathematicians are the future!
