CAFOD Family Fast Day – Friday 9th October
CAFOD’s theme this year is ‘A Harvest like no other’, here is a quote taken from the campaign:
This is a Harvest like no other as many families face chronic food shortages, malnutrition and poverty as the result of coronavirus. With your support, we can help people all over the world rebuild their lives.
The CAFOD website has more information including some live virtual events for your family to get involved in.
At Cardinal Newman, our Collective worship this week helped us to reflect about those who are less fortunate than ourselves. Putting our faith into action, we are asking all the children to ‘fast’ from a sweet treat or similar and place the cost of the item in their CAFOD envelope, which they will receive next week. Envelopes should be returned to school on Monday 12th October and given to their class teacher.
